A baby is the charm of the house. No one can keep his eyes or hand off the baby. It lightens up the atmosphere in a house. Everyone adores, admires, cares and loves this bundle of joy. But with this love, there comes special care to be taken to keep the skin safe and soft the way it is. You can’t and shouldn’t just use adult skin care tips and tricks on a baby, even as an experiment.
A baby skin comes with its own unwritten manual. A bit of plus minus and the baby would have to pay its debt. And no one, literally no one would want this to happen at any cost. So we have to take extra special care for a baby. I have written an article on this earlier, check it out here. But today, I found few more interesting tips.
So here are my tips to keep the skin of a baby clean and gorgeous, just like how it should be
Avoid a diaper rash
A diaper is indispensable at least in the initial months. But using one can cause a lot of harm if not taken care. A diaper rash is almost the main reason for irritating a baby. The first reason a baby cries is 70% of times due to this irritation. So ensure to keep this area open in air and dry for some period of time regularly.
Give massages.
A massage will bond you with your baby and also will help in growth of the baby. Also if given after bath, it can be very effective as skin is just hydrated.
Do not apply soap directly
Soap contains various chemicals which may turn harmful for the baby. So dip a washcloth in soapy water and use it gently to clean a baby rather than applying a soap (remember a baby soap is also dangerous) directly to the skin. For the face, moisten a cotton ball and dab it very gently.
Do not use talc
A baby can swallow talc or even lick its face in an attempt to eat it. Don’t use talc instead use moisturising creams made especially for a baby.
Give lots of water in dry days
This will not only keep the skin hydrated but also prevent from going dry.
